Jingfei Liu received his B.E. in mechanical engineering and B.A. in English from Dalian University of Technology, China in 2002 and 2003, respectively. From 2003 to 2007 he worked as a Lecturer at Beijing Polytechnic, Beijing, China. He received his M.S. in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University in 2009, and his M.S. in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012. In 2014, he received Ph.D. in Mechanics and Energy from Université de Lorraine, France and joined the Ferrara Lab. His previous research work mainly includes characterization of mechanical properties of drug tablet for controlled drug delivery system design, physical principles and applications of the interaction of ultrasound with periodic structures, ultrasonic nondestructive testing of composite materials, development of III-V semiconductor surface acoustic wave sensor, and application of acoustic microscopy in material property characterization.
